How do I cancel a reservation

Use the online Cancel Reservation option available by clicking on the My Trips hyperlink and selecting the applicable order if you need to cancel your entire trip for all passengers.  You must be absolutely sure that you want to cancel your trip if you use this sensitive option, because a cancellation cannot be undone and automatic cancellation penalties apply immediately.

 

Before you cancel your trip you should review the reservation rules Penalties portion. Some reservations are non-refundable meaning that no money is refunded to you in case of cancellation.

 

Reservation rules are accessible by clicking on an applicable hyperlink that is typically located on the bottom of the My Trips page.

 

Cancellation is required before Trip Departure

You must cancel your reservation before trip departure else a so called no-show applies, rendering your reservation void and without any remaining value.

 

I need to cancel Specific Passengers Only

Please contact our Customer Service at CustService@bt-store.com if only specific passengers require reservation cancellation, while others plan to use the itinerary as booked.

In case you need to cancel specific passengers outside our business hours please contact the applicable airline. It is critical that the required passengers are cancelled before trip departure in order for their tickets to retain residual value, if any, else no-show applies.


Medical Emergency or Death Cancellation Reasons

Most airlines waive cancellation fees and issue a full refund or a future travel voucher (refund or voucher is up to individual airline discretion) in case of unforeseen passenger hospitalization on the day of trip departure, or in case of passenger or immediate family death - some exclusions apply subject to airline policy or specific fare provisions. Hospitalization or death certificate issued by an applicable institution is required in order to apply for a refund/voucher.

 

Family relationship qualification note: When applying for a refund based on death of an immediate passenger family member additional documents demonstrating family relationship are required when passenger and deceased last (family) names are different. Acceptable documents are either marriage certificate or birth certificate.

 

The refund procedure cannot be initiated absent the required documentation.

 

Receiving a Refund

Once you review the applicable fare penalty and cancel your reservation online you will receive an email from the Best Travel Store Refunds department requesting that you pay a BTS service fee required to start the refund procedure. The fee can be paid either online or by returning to us a credit card service fee payment authorization form. It usually takes five weeks to receive a refund posted to your credit card (or a check refund in case of non credit card payment). The refund might take up to eight weeks, subject to airline discretion.

 

Can Best Travel Store Waive Fees in my Special Case?

Best Travel Store is unable to waive any and all fees because they are mandated by the ticketing airline. Please do not send us such requests because we are unable to process them, and you will not receive a reply.

Best Travel Store offers affordable travel insurance that covers the entire cost of your trip in case of most unexpected events, including traveler illness, death, some natural disasters, etc.  We suggest that you purchase the insurance and protect your trip investment when the product is offered to you online during the reservation process.
