How do I change a reservation

Use the online Modify Reservation option available by clicking on the My Trips hyperlink and selecting the applicable order if you need to change your trip's travel date(s) for all passengers. 

 

Changes to the itinerary after departure should generally be handled directly with the airline's local customer service office at the destination. Best Travel Store can only handle changes prior to the departure date.

 

Before you modify your trip travel date(s) you should review the reservation rules Penalties portion. Some reservations are non-changeable meaning that you cannot change travel dates and your only remaining options are to keep the original itinerary or cancel it (subject to cancellation penalty rules).

 

Reservation rules are accessible by clicking on an applicable hyperlink that is typically located on the bottom of the My Trips page.

 

Change is required at least 48 Hours before Trip Departure

You must modify your reservation at least 48 hours before trip departure else we cannot process the change. If you hold a paper ticket you must allow at least 7 business days for change processing because we must receive your original paper ticket before we can send you a new ticket with modified travel dates. It is your responsibility to ensure original paper ticket delivery to us within the required timeframe.

 

Change Details

Most airline tickets do not allow changes to trip origin or destination, while they strictly prohibit changing marketing airlines, unless your purchased ticket is valid for travel on an airline alliance, e.g., United / Lufthansa / Continental / Air Canada. Passenger name changes are not possible, because all airline tickets are non-transferable.

 

You are also required to adhere to most original airline ticket rules, such as minimum and maximum length of stay, and using the same fare type for the change. Our automated itinerary modification system will assist you in choosing the right itinerary and fare for the change.

 

Begin your reservation modification process by clicking on the My Trips hyperlink, selecting the applicable Order and then clicking on the Modify Reservation button. Follow the instructions provided by the automated system.
