Cooled by the gentle breezes of the Pacific, the climate of these islands is sunny and pleasant.
The winter season is May through October when the temperatures go around 26 degrees Celsius (80 F). There is less rain during this period of year and a little less humidity than in the summer.
Summer lasts from November until April. The climate in summer season is warm and moist with average temperatures around 30C (87F). Most of the rain falls during the warm season.
Severe tropical storms are not very common in the area of French Polynesia.
