Baltimore - Car Parking

Hourly Garage

Hourly parking is located in this convenient garage, with easy entrance and exit on I-195. The garage is ideal for short weekday business trips. "Smart parking" has been installed throughout the garage. Let us guide you to an empty space.

And now, for added convenience and service, try BWI's new "Credit Card In/Credit Card Out" payment option, which allows customers to insert a credit card in the ticket dispenser when entering the BWI Hourly Garage. For a fast and easy exit, simply use the same credit card to leave the Hourly Garage and receive a receipt. BWI's new "Credit Card In/Credit Card Out" system eliminates the need to retain a parking ticket while traveling and the possibility of misplacing your ticket.

As always, you can pay before you return to your car with our "Pay & Go" machines, located in the Sky Bridges connecting the Hourly Garage to the BWI Airport Terminal. The first hour of the garage is FREE, 61-90 minutes is $4. Rates are $2 each half-hour thereafter, up to a maximum of $20 for the day.

Daily Garage

BWI's Daily Parking Garage is located at MD 170 and Elm Road. The garage is now open with 8,400 spaces for daily use in close proximity to the Airport terminal. Rates are $2.00 per hour to a 24-hour max of $10. Frequent shuttle bus service is provided from the new garage to the terminal.

Express Service Parking (ESP)

Express Service Parking (ESP) is designed for passengers leaving vehicles for more than one day at the Airport. Rates are $3 per hour up to $14 per day.

The ESP has moved to a more convenient, Elm Road location. BWI’s Express Service Parking has been relocated to a lot across from the BWI Daily Garage. The new location will provide closer parking to the terminal, while avoiding several traffic lights and a Light Rail crossing. The new ESP lot will be served by 12 new, brightly painted shuttle buses.

Long Term Parking (Previously Satellite Parking)

Long-Term parking lots are served by closely scheduled shuttle buses to assure that you make your flight comfortably and quickly. Covered passenger collection points make this parking service convenient even during inclement weather, and the economical rates make these lots the vacationers' choice. Rates are $1 per hour, up to a maximum of $8 per day.

Cell Phone Lot

BWI has a free cell phone lot for patrons waiting for a phone call from an arriving passenger at the terminal for a pick-up. The lot is located across from the entrance to the Daily parking garage on Elm Road. Check the BWI map for routes to the Daily garage. Certain access roads will be posted as "No Stopping" along the shoulders for safety and to alleviate traffic congestion while major construction continues at and around the terminal. Patrons can avoid tie-ups at the terminal and better comply with the "No Waiting" restrictions in front of the terminal. Also, patrons can use the hourly garage in front of the terminal for pick-ups and drop-offs. The first hour is free.

Pre-Pay Parking for Quick Exit

There are a total of six “Pay-and-Go” machines in the Skywalk connecting the Hourly Garage to the BWI Airport Terminal, allowing travelers to pre-pay parking fees, saving time and money, before exiting the hourly garage through an automated toll lane or staffed toll lane.

When using BWI’s hourly garage, travelers should keep their parking voucher with them when going into the airport. Before returning to the garage, customers can use the yellow Pay-and-Go machines to pay their parking fee with cash or credit. The parking voucher will be validated and returned, providing customers with an additional 30 minutes free to return to their cars and exit the garage.

Pay-and-Go machines are located in the Concourse A, B and D Skywalks.

in a total of 26 gates on both concourses upon completion later this

year. Southwest currently offers 164 daily nonstop flights from BWI to

34 nonstop destinations.

New Ticket Counters and Check-in Lobby

Southwest passengers at BWI will immediately notice our new

ticket lobby. The bright, ticketing lobby is 60 percent larger than the

existing terminal lobby and is connected to the BWI Hourly Garage

via our new Skywalk system. The area features more than 50 ticketing

positions, including numerous Rapid Check-In Kiosks for faster check-ins.

New Shopping and Dining Experience

McDonalds, Charlie Chiangs, Phillips Seafood, to name a few,

are among the many food and beverage outlets coming to A/B to tempt

your taste buds. A large central food court, with wide dramatic views of

the airfield, is the centerpiece of the Concourse A/B complex. Retailers

joining BWI to enhance your travelling experience include Fire and Ice,

Borders and Jos. A. Bank — their first airport location.

State-of-the-art Security

Two new security checkpoints will open as well — one on

each side of the Southwest check-in area. A total of 11 security

lanes will be available for Southwest passengers. In addition, a

state-of-the-art in-line system will screen checked luggage fed

from the Southwest curbside check-ins or at the ticket counters.

Easy Connections

Connecting passengers will also find the new complex easy

to use. No more connections with 25 minute walks between flights

on different concourses! Convenient escalators, elevators and

moving sidewalks thoughout the area help to speed you between

flights behind security. With the extra time you will have to decide

which store to visit first!

Easier Arrivals

The new services continue! Five new large baggage carousels

will speed your bags to you upon arrival at BWI. We will expand the

area to include a sixth baggage carousel when it is needed.

More on the Way

Now that the first phase is complete, phase two will

start. Over the next several months, we will reconstruct the

Concourse B gates — scheduled to finish in the Fall of this year.

More parking, more gates, more food, more shopping, all for you.

BWI — Easy come, easy go.
