It is one of the world's best known theatre companies and it’s vision is to connect people with Shakespeare as well as produce new work with living writers, actors and artists.

Stratford Town Walk is a guided walk taking in all the essential Shakespearean sights in Stratford.
There are several other walks available; very popular is the ghost walk, on which visitors discover places housing sinister stories of ghosts, witches, murder and misery.

Shakespeare's Birthplace

The most compelling attraction in the entire town is the house where Shakespeare spent his childhood. The house is restored and contains authentic 16th-century decor and several other original pieces.

 

Ann Hathaway's Cottage

This is where Ann Hathaway lived as a girl. She later became Shakespeare’s wife. The romantic cottage is beautifully restored and has a number of family heirlooms on display.

 

Holy Trinity Church

Holy Trinity, Stratford, on the banks of the River Avon, is probably England's most-visited Parish Church. This is due to the fact that William Shakespeare was baptized here and is also buried in the chancel. Note that the church is fully functional with services and activities so that must be taken into consideration for any excursion there.

Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations

Every year, thousands of people gather in Stratford-upon-Avon, to celebrate the birth of William Shakespeare, the town’s favorite son. The celebration of the Bard’s B-day begins with a parade to the Holy Trinity Church where VIP's from around the globe lay flowers at Shakespeare's grave. During the three-day celebration, the town’s streets fill up with pageantry, music and drama as well as literary, music and theatre events.
